If this is to be goodbye

I consider the following unlikely, 12/21/12 or not. However, in virtually any scenario in which:

A) the world ends, and
B) my words outlast me, to be read by unspecified future parties,

then this is all the legacy I desire:

A little marginalia to explain "them":

One, it carries quite a different tone and meaning than "us." I don't want to go out with a plea for forgiveness, but for tolerance. Even if I'm one of the ones being judged, that's worth doing some semantic hair-splitting for.

Two, there's something of the Steppendrachen in me that will never wholly depart, no matter how awesome humanity is.
