Weight Loss

As most of you know, I'm trying to lose weight so I can have IVF. My doctor wanted me to lose about 23 lbs from when I first saw him. I lost 10 on my own, but still needed another 12 or 13, and for the past...oh, six months or so I think, I've been waffling up and down the same two pounds ( Read more... )

1200 cal/day? Whooooooa. I find that if I drop below 1500 cal I have ZERO energy left for exercise - I pretty much spend the entire day spacey and listless and have difficulty thinking. I'm glad it's working for you though!

Well...I have been taking a lot of naps lately. I'm sure it's not just the time change, since that just happened. Maybe that's where the 5 meals a day helps. Just when your body starts thinking it hasn't gotten enough calories, you dribble a few more in?

I know! I'm worried that I'll get all depressed if I lose nothing or only lose 1 or 2 pounds next week. That, I think, is my biggest stumbling block.

You know, I don't actually like the thickness of the Greek yogurt. It also has a weird, very subtle sour-milk tang to it. It's not my favorite thing to eat, but I can handle it. She has me eating this high-fiber, low-calorie, high-protein cereal with it, but I never thought of putting it on it like granola. I may try that. And I'll ask her about granola.

How's yours going? Steady along, I hope? :-)

Some of the girls at work are doing this thing called Zumba. Not really sure what it is. One of the girls says she lost quite a bit on the work out! Glad to see you almost there! My doctor requires me to drink 5 twenty ounce bottles of water at work. Which isn't that hard, because it's so dry in the building. Every time I pass the desk, I want to guzzle an entire bottle!

#5 sounds awesome to me. I LOVE bodyweight exercises. They are my personal favorite.

Good luck with getting toward IVF...
