I think that feeling comes and goes. Don't worry about it too much fiona. Just stick to your guns, grit your teeth and see it through. If you're going through hell, keep on going. It's not worth giving up now, you're pretty much 1/8? of your way through. Like you, I have to admit, I too felt the same not so long ago. I felt out of place, and questioned whether I belonged in my course. I got to a point where I felt that there was no sense in purpose to what I was doing there and I just felt really apathetic and low. For me, I think it was more to the fact that I felt as though I had yet to gel with the people there...but in your case I don't know how it is. The only thing I can say is just try and exert yourself and you'll see it through. For every blossoming flower, there needs to be some rain and sunshine and this is just one of your rough patches. I now feel reasonably happy, there are no more odd thoughts about wanting to throw the towel in. It's just a transitional phase.
