Heyyyy, internet. Long time no see.
First of all, thank you so much to those of you who commented on my last post <3 <3 <3. You guys are seriously the best. I’m sorry I didn’t respond to everyone (anyone) and then kind of dropped off the face of the lj-planet, but it has been QUITE a stressful summer. Luckily, things are calming down and L is

So glad to hear that L is doing better, even if the next month is going to suck. I've thought about you often but didn't want to bother you with my pointless ramblings in an email. Many good vibes have gone your way, my friend, and they shall continue for the foreseeable future.
I see lots of Gilmore Girls and XF on your lists. That makes me happy.
Not in Portland: I LOVE JULIET.
SING IT, SISTER.
Oh, and thanks so much for the birthday wishes!

Haha, I am alive! I kept meaning to come back and write another post and then the past two months have been OMG SO STRESSFUL and so I abandoned the whole LJ thing, kind of on accident? But I've missed it so much!
I hope that you had a completely amazing, amazing birthday! I'm pretty sure you and I are the same age (or did I make that up?), so I know this birthday is a pret-ty big one :)
(Also, we MUST talk about Castle some time! Isn't it great? Isn't Beckett the best? Isn't s4 taking too long to start??)

And, in true me fashion, I totally watch for Beckett and her amazing hair porn self. I honestly don't think I would be half as invested/interested if the character of Beckett was a)less awesome or b)played by another actress. Stana Katic is great.
TELL ME HOW MUCH YOU LOVE IT PLEASE.

"Restless" is, no lie, my all-time favorite episode of television. It's amazing and trippy and I feel like I see something new every single time I watch it. And it's so quotable! Especially Buffy's Death of Salesman speech.
"Raincoats and Recipes" is amazing too, and as much as Rory and Dean hooking up skeeved me out, I've always admired the way they handled it. I feel like on any other show they would have found a way to make Lindsey a villain, but on GG they made it absolutely clear that what Rory and Dean did was wrong and the moment it really hits Rory when she hears Lindsey's voice on the phone just breaks me every single time. But more importantly there's the L/L kiss that will forever be the greatest kiss I have ever seen. GUH. So lovely.
All of your favorite tropes are my favorite tropes. Clearly that means we're awesome. ;)
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes!

And, oh man, I had forgotten how much I loved "Restless" until just a couple of weeks ago when I rewatched it, but there is literally nothing about that episode that I don't love. It's such a brilliant hour of television and imminently re-watchable.
The Rory/Dean/Lindsay thing was definitely handled a lot better than I expected it to be, but man Rory really bugged me in that whole situation. But in a way that was totally in-character? IDK, it's a storyline I have many feelings about/issues with. But that moment when she breaks down on the phone when Lindsay picks up is ROUGH. Although the most important part of that whole episode is definitely the L/L stuff. Every scene they're in together is pitch perfect and the kiss could not have been more amazing. I just love it.
