......something I'm finding as I get older.......just lost 3 friends the past few months to AIDS & CANCER.....and 20+ year ago moved up to H@@TERVILLE along with 7 or 8 other folks......well they have ALL passed on.....and I'm the LAST MAN STANDING......and finding it a bit scary!

Very scary indeed. Out of all the couples that Ted and I had as close, personal, friends in Vegas...they're all gone. Only thing left there are some of my friends...who were younger than the two of us.
That is one thing that Mom reminds me on a regular basis...that I'm 52. But it's funny...then I have to call my sister and remind her that she's almost 57...which makes me feel much better!!!

I'm kinda glad my mother took her time before starting her steep decline. But decline we must.
My biggest regret about Mom is that I couldn't have seen her more often during the last ten years of her life. It would have been agonizing to see her then; it has been worse, not seeing her. Try to take what pleasure you can, when you are in her company.

Oh don't get me wrong...I love to see Mom when I get the chance. But when it's on one of her bad days...I usually wipe away the tears as I leave. She has about 5 different doctors and at times I believe she is taking way to many pills on a daily basis. But I promised to keep my nose out of her medical problems. That's my sister's department.
