Stasia and Sam came out Saturday morning and she tried on her grandmother's wedding dress. As beautiful as the dress is, it just didn't fit. My mom was SO SMALL on her wedding day...Stasia couldn't even fit her arms through the lace sleeves all the way, and my mom was really shortwaisted, while Stasia has a longer waist, so it didn't fit right. I will admit that I'm a johnny-come-lately fan of the Saints, but I did fan them from the very first game this season and onward. In about twenty-four hours, I will be under the knife, in the chair, out by gas and getting my wisdom teeth cut out. Apparently, doing this at forty-five is NOT where you want to be, if being here is what you have to be. Eighteen or at least before thirty is the optimal age. Oh well. One of Natasha's teachers, Ms. Sheets, has been really good about taking care of Natasha while she's been at school. She calls me with updates, checks up on Natasha, and acts as a calming force. Well, I talked to the Make-A-Wish people. I don't really blame them, since they're not medical doctors and they don't make medical determinations. I'm not sure why Dr. Breech checked off that Victoria wasn't medically eligible for their program, so I guess I'll talk to her in November ( Read more... )

We got bad news today. We received a letter from the Make-A-Wish office and they said that they received back the medical authorization from her doctor, and she is not medically eligible for the program. :( She is devestated. I'm going to call them on Monday and see if it's simply because of her procedures that she's recovering from, or if this is ( Read more... )
