Well a lot has gone on since my last post. The reformat went on without much of a hitch I suppose. Very little data lost and I think it was all from games like Sims 3 and WoW. All important stuff like my art has been backed up on another hard drive and is cozy and safe (at least the last I checked). Sadly it seems that whatever attacked might have ( Read more... )

I have some spare media center (expensive retail-wise) cases you might wanna consider, Bay. :) (I can provide online pics and info on them). Would gladly send you one for half the shipping cost. Also, and this is obvious, choose your PC parts carefully. For the C2Q, be sure it's one from the Q9XXX line, and be sure the motherboard you're interested in getting can handle any current processor. The X48 area of chipsets are worth looking over (though the nVidia-based ones are pretty good too). Make sure the board you choose has the features you need most in as many areas as possible. This does need to last you a minimum of 1.5 years. ;) *insert more PC tech jargon here*

I figure that will hold me off for a while (moreso seeing what I'm going from). I might end up taking you up on the case offer as I really do hate the current one.. I did want the i7 stuff but money wise I just don't have it right now. Figure I will get what I can to last long enough that getting a new system, gut wise, wont be as bad as what I'm having to go through now.
