So. I made jam today. A lot of jam. A lot a lot of jam. I needed to get rid of 4 pints of strawberries and a lot of rhubarb. (Unspecified amounts, I really don't know how much.) I've really been bitten by the jam bug, it's a good mad science experiment. I've been mixing in bits of alcohol as flavoring with the fruit and had great success so far.

I'm told, however, that the butter makes it a little less long lived even if canned properly. Just something to keep in mind. And it's not too fussy to do the canning right but you do need a big enough pot to boil your jars.

What's fun is I don't think it jelled, properly. Probably needs more pectin. Siiiigh. But they sealed!
