Stop

Failing to stop for a lollipop lady, according to posters on display across Peterborough, is an offence with a maximum penalty of £1000 and 3 points on your licence. Presumably that means they'll overlook the fact that you've probably run over the old dear and killed a few kids in the process?

Heh, nope. They're the people who stand outside of schools and stop the traffic so kids can cross the road. Probably a bit like what you guys know as crossing guards(?)

Heh, tis a bit random yeah, but it's cos the "Stop" sign is a big round yellow thing stuck onto a long pole - kinda like a lollipop.

Wikipedia has pictures if you're bored/really have nothing better to do than learn about random bits of British culture :P
