Technical Difficulties =(
Beware: Major abuse of my whining and ranting abilities ahead.
Cuz computers? They suck. Really, really suck.
And mine hates me! No lie. I thought all was well, and nope.. not so much.
Basically my computer just randomly decided to die on me last week, and in order to fix it I had to run through the recovery process. So you know what that means? Yupp.. everything, gone! Soooo not cool. I'm pretty sure I was ready to cry lol
Anyway, so I go through the annoying process, it completely wipes out my computer, and then I'm back at square one. Fortunately, I had a lot of my stuff saved in a few different places, but I still ended up loosing some newer things that I hadn't gotten around to backing up. So okay, annoying? Very. The end of the world? Not quite.
So slowly I start putting everything back... start installing my programs, uploading my files... the usual, and all is fine.
Until it happens AGAIN! Once again my computer decided it needed to run through the dreaded (evil) recovery process.. so really what choice did I have? Not much. So i did it, lost everything again, and was pretty pissed off and annoyed. This time I waited a little before putting everything back, figured I wouldn't waste my time if it was going to throw another shit fit. So for a little while it's fine, I start putting everything back on (again), and all is fine and dandy in my little world.
And so it was.. for a few days anyway. Today? I'm on my computer all morning and everything is peachy. I go away for an hour, I come back, and the black screen that I have come to hate is telling me I need to run the freaking recovery process (AGAIN *throws hands in the air*).
So it's safe to say that all was not good today lol
Finally I figured enough was enough and called the place where I bought the damn thing (seeing how I've only had it for a few months! uuggh!) And they told me to bring it in, obviously. Pretty much what I've been trying to avoid because I knew I wouldn't like what they had to say. And it seems like I need a new hard drive, either that or my Windows is screwed to hell, and I may or may not need to lose a few limbs to pay for this.
But worst of all?? Guess how long they're gunna keep my computer!? Three to five days! Three to five days!!
And with the way the dude was talking I basically shouldn't hold my breath in hopes of getting it back in the three. So I won't have my computer for almost a WEEK! Geeez, I don't know how I'm gunna survive... granted I may be exaggerating a bit, but still. I'm attached, and days without my laptop are going to result in a very cranky me.
I am soo not happy about this *pouts* The stupid thing's not even six months old and I'm having more problems with it than I did with my old one that I had for years.
All I can say is I LOVE my blackberry lol At least that will give me some internet access... but no posting, no comments, no nothing =( Not cool, not cool at all.
So basically I'm afraid to breath on my laptop at the moment, and I've settled for firefox and yahoo messanger and nothing more lol It's pretty sad that the computer that's making me poor will only act semi normal if i only have two programs on it... stupid thing.
So this is me procrastinating, and not wanting to give up my computer... Sad, but unfortunately true.
Definite withdrawals to come, and a serious lack of computer time.
Ohhh, I am sooo gunna need to find a new hobby to keep me occupied, and quick.
