I'm absolutely breathless after this chapter!!! It was stunning:) I hope they will find the way to work things out and be together despite the strict rules they must obey.
I'm still afraid when I think of the battle. I'm glad they spent some time in the woods though - every little trip there make them know each other better and I don't mean only physically.
And, of course, the sex scene was absolutely delicious;)

LOL, I totally had this debate with myself - sexy versus timely. I'm biased, went with sexy.

The boys were sexy and emotional with each other. I hope the boys can work out a way to be together. But if Jacobus's mother is terrozied by her husband, I'm surprised that she hasn't conspired with someone (especially the Commander) to have her husband murdered like all good, upper class Roman women did. Since her husband is in the military and in politics it was very easy to have him killed and was done all the time in ancient Rome. BTW, I live in NYC and have never done the live ball drop in Times Square. Someday I will have to but the thought of freezing my ass off for 7-10 hours before midnight puts me off.
