What a weekend.

As mentioned in my previous post, i had a big date on Friday evening.

I'll give some brief background info...we met online a little over 2 weeks ago. We exchanged emails for a few days and then started talking on MSN. We discovered that we had quite a bit in common so we decided that we should meet. Once the day, time and place had been agreed upon, we took the next step and exchanged phone numbers. We talked for a few more days and then Date Day arrived.

Since we both share a love of art and are both former art students, we felt that the ROM would be a good place to meet up. I met Angela on the steps in fromt of the ROM at around 6:20 pm, Friday evening. We hugged, exchanged pleasantries and headed inside. I had never been to the ROM so this was a real treat for me. We walked and talked and held hands (I'm a sap, I know) and totally enjoyed each other's company. Even though this was our first meeting, we felt totally at ease with each other. So we took our time and enjoyed the exhibits (the Egyptian and Greek ones were my favorites) and then decided we were hungry. We ended up at Sushi On Bloor for supper. Great place if you love sushi, as we do. We ate and talked and had a really nice time. After supper we decided to go for a walk. We walked from Sushi On Bloor to Spadina and took it all the way down to Lakeshore. It was a beautiful night for a walk and we talked some more (she said I was chatty... :P). We ended up at her place and decided we'd watch a movie. Our selection for the evening was Shaun of the Dead. Great date movie. So that was pretty much it for the date and I was home by 3:30 pm Saturday afternoon. :D

So Saturday was a nice evening as well. I had already made committments to my friend Dora that I would show up for her birthday barbecue. I stopped off at Dominion on the way to pick up some salads (what's a bbq without salads) and then to the LCBO for some beer. I got to Dora's around 6 or so and I was only the third person there. We chatted for a bit and then started up the cue as people started showing up. We had burgers and sausage and salad and booze and pleasant copnversation. At around 8 pm I got a call from Greg who had called earlier in the day to see how the date went. I chatted with him for about 10 minutes, filled him in and went back to the party. A little while later I gave Angela a call (as I couldn't stop thinking about her) and she invited me over if I wasn't too late. I went back to the party and chatted with Dora a bit to fill her in on the date (as she had been a little too preoccupied earlier) and then did my rounds of goodbyes and headed back downtown.

I got to Angela's a little after 10 pm and we just sat and talked for a bit and threw on another movie. This time it was Land of the Dead. But I was pretty tired so we called it a night and I got home about 3 pm Sunday afternoon. :D

We are both completely digging each other so we have decided that we are going to make it official and we are now an exclusive couple. I know it may seem a little fast to some of you but I can't even beging to describe how perfect she feels to me. It just feels right.

So this evening, Tim and I had supper together because Heather had to go to Montreal to work for the week and then we went and saw X-Men: The Last Stand. Good flick. I really enjoyed it.
