If you were standing up in a wedding and could chose your own dress, what would you wear? The preferable color is black and I believe this is the bride's dress:

What season is the wedding? What time of day? Level of formality?

I'd go with the above posted green dress-style. The cut and shape contrasts with the bride's gown, which I think it is important, but still looks super elegant and striking on its own.

Good questions...the wedding is in June at noon at 4th Pres on Michigan Ave. The reception will be at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown. So the reception location isn't the fanciest place, but I think she wants to go more formal.

So far, I like that last dress you posted the best. It mirrors the bride's neckline so nicely! I've already forwarded it to her. Thanks!
