What a sweet, loving chapter. I love this Ennis for being there for Jack. I hope it stays this way. Jack needs him very bsdly now. He really has no one else he can talk to. Ennis can talk as one gay man to another, and help Jack with the hurt he feels, not only from the beating (he'll recover from that) but from the rejection he's gotten from people who were supposed to care.
I hope Jack and Ennis will find some place together after Jack is released from the hospital. He's still going to need help and care at home.
