I haven't seen this season yet, too afraid of wether or not i would be disappointed with what the writers would do to our Beloved Captain Minister. I still saw his final and the final of the serie. [Spoiler (click to open)]I am in DENIAL as to his death ! Never happended and not gonna happen ever ! Eventhough he probably died as he would have wanted, protecting King,

I hate the fact that 'it's drama so someone has to die' and as it couldn't be one of the main boys or their lady loves, it had to be Treville. And pour little Claremont, as one of the cadets obviously wasn't going to make the end credits.
And it provided a convenient way of paving the way for the most witless ministerial appointment of all time.
I hate it when my favourite characters get killed off, so I;m here in Denial with you!
TREVILLE LIVES!!!
It was a nasty gunshot wound but with Doctor Lemay's help he pulled through. Fact.
I hate the fact that 'it's drama so someone has to die' and as it couldn't be one of the main boys or their lady loves,This is what gets me the most. Why couldn't they have taken Aramis instead? Would have fit his storyline, and at least you can be sure Aramis' death would have been about Aramis, while, the way it is, Treville's death isn't about Treville. Not even his funeral is. Not even the few times characters mention him after his death are about Treville
( ... )
To be honest, I don't even like the way he died one bit. It wasn't so much about saving the King as ensurig that Anne and Aramis would master one last hurdle on the way to getting their fairy tale happy ending (and without them even having to do anything :( ).
As minister, i can only see Porthos. Eventhough he would definitely have a hard time. Or maybe Athos who'se more pragmatic ? But not Aramis ! Sorry, in fact since the ending of season 2 i cannot bear him, he is selfish and doesn't care a bit about consequences for the women he's using/seducing.
Stay with us Asthenie, this is for rambling, especially rambling about Treville's death.
Not sure too wether or not i'll watch this season. As much as i love to see Beloved Captain Minister Regent and even more when he's smiling, i'll content myself with the bit with Milady when she reports (thank you youtube).
As you said FredBassett, Treville lives, FACT ! Bur for those who watched it, feel free to spoil me about him. ^^
Watch the nice bits with him in and ignore the rest. There's a nice scene in an early episoe when he goes 'musketeering' with Constance to deliver a smack down to Marchaeux. I enjoyed that.
Hello. New member here (lapsed musketeer watcher-dipped in and out of s1, missed s2 but hooked on s3). I was a little disapointed with Trevilles ending I think by the end of S3 he was one of my fave characters. It was a shame he didn't get his happy ending.

No, that was Rochefort. Feron and Gaston would also have been crappy choices.
I'm sorry, it's always rough when your favourite character buys it. (It was an epic scene, though.)

Thanks. I hate losing a character I love, even though I should be used to it by now.

Doctor Lemay patched him up beautifully.
