Air Purifier?
I've been oil painting in my small, not particularly well ventilated studio apartment, and decided maybe it would be better if I didn't kill either myself or my cat.
Does anyone here own an air purifier? If so, what kind? Do you like? How big of a room can it handle?

Two friggin degrees in geography and I forget a state.
What's worse? IT WAS MARYLAND. THE STATE NEXT TO THE ONE WHERE I LIVE.

This is not intended as a slight upon said state, which is one of my favorite. Really, I thought I'd typed it in already. -
DC Museum PSA (and are Brooklynites special?)

I'm really, really surprised they're releasing it so close to the film - but as Leaky gets 87 emails a day with "OMG, it's going to be 7/7/07!", I'm snarkily glad that date wasn't picked.

Pop, soda, coke, or ?
While this map, Generic Names of Soft Drinks by County, is a few years old (how can 2003 have ended three years ago - can someone explain this to me?), I'm happy to report it's accurate at least for my home county, where the author reports 80-100% call it a "coke" (although Matthew of the East Central U.
