Chapter Eight
As the game continued, it became apparent that Jack's "one Long Island Iced Tea for courage" was no match for the sheer volume of alcohol most of the other players had consumed. In one corner, a couple had abandoned the game completely and, twisted together like a pretzel on a comfortable-looking chaise, were making out with great enthusiasm. Jack spent about five minutes tracking their wandering hands, noticing a flick of a nipple here, a squeeze of an ass there. And when he looked up, there was Ennis, amused, watching him watch.
Jack winked at him--maybe that drink had provided a little liquid coverage after all--and continued his survey of the room. Looked like he and Ennis and a few others were in various stages of "not yet drunk" and the rest were getting closer and closer to shitfaced. Which would explain why most of the kisses now had a grope or two thrown in for good measure.
Take the 2 girls who were kissing right now, the second time they'd had to kiss tonight.
Earlier, when the bottle had chosen them both, they'd given each other a shy peck and a hug. Now, there was some very sexy tongue action going on and it looked like one of Suzanne's hands had disappeared.
Jack was feeling a little less shy himself (but just to make sure, he grabbed another drink). He'd been watching Ennis kiss all night, both girls and a boy or two, and now, he was pretty sure he wanted some of that for himself! So he decided he'd try to make the bottle spin toward Ennis even if it was obvious that that was what he'd done. Others had cheated, why couldn't he?
Maybe if he looked at Ennis before he touched the bottle, but didn't look while he was spinning, it wouldn't be so obvious.
"Put your drink down, Jack, it's your turn again."
Oh, god, did the lights just flicker or was that just me?
I don't know if I can do it.
I don't know if I can do it.
I don't know if I can do it.
I don't know if I can do it.
Though it felt like a butterfly chorus line was kicking up its heels in his stomach, Jack looked at Ennis as he sat down, looked away and down at the bottle, and managed a perfect spin toward Ennis. As he looked up into Ennis's eyes, he could see that Ennis knew he'd done it on purpose and as he stood up, the butterflies began their high kicks again.
Is he mad? I hope he's not mad!
"Don't freak out, Ennis. I'm about to kiss you!"
Ennis smirked a little, but his look was affectionate. "I won't."
That moment as they looked into each other's eyes was probably only a second or two but seemed to Jack to stretch on indefinitely in delicious anticipation. Finally they both leaned in for the kiss and put their arms around each other.
Jack's head began to swim as he felt the first press of Ennis's lips on his. The strength of his body against Jack's and the feel of his arms pressing into his back overwhelmed him with sensation. Ennis, god bless him, opened his mouth just enough for Jack to begin sucking that juicy bottom lip.
Instantly, Jack was hard! He pulled Ennis in closer, sank one hand into Ennis's curly hair and his tongue made a request for entrance. Ennis allowed it and gently returned the kiss, but after a moment or two, he began to pull back.
Though Jack felt a little dazed, he remembered immediately that there were others in the room and was hopeful that most were too drunk to take that kiss seriously.
"I'm a little bit drunk!" he announced to the room. As everyone laughed, he sat down again and chanced a look at Ennis. Ennis winked at him and grabbed the bottle.
For the rest of the night, Jack avoided making eye contact with Ennis, deeply embarrassed that he'd gotten carried away. He hoped Ennis wouldn't mention it on the way home and couldn't imagine what he'd say in response if he did.
On the other hand, his body kept remembering the kiss and he couldn't wait to get home so he could re-live every moment of it. Jack was pretty sure this confirmed that he was gay.
No girl kiss had ever felt that wonderful!
