The sad ending of a chapter of life...

So I finally told Jake that I am not going back with him, no more negotiations. And while I feel it's for the best... now I feel so terribly and overwhelmingly empty. Every so often when I can get my head above water, though, I feel free. It felt like I wasn't me anymore, I was turning into who he wanted me to be... he says that's not his fault,

I'm sorry you got hurt, but it's good that you stood up for yourself. My mom would say "Let no man pull you under." I should have listened to her like you just did on your own. Good luck and Best Wishes.

Thanks for the words of support. Honestly I would've probably gone back with him without my friends and family... and as much as I wish we could still be together, this is probably for the best.
