hello fellow ljreaders and real life friends,

i just moved to a new pad and want to get a large aquarium and i really really want to get an asian arowana. They r illegal to sell in the US. i just think these fishes are amazing. if anyone has any connections to some 'underground' dealers around the los angeles area, please email me bcchen888@hotmailRead more... )

nope. illegal in US. trust me i tried hard on the internet. no such luck. i need to know some oldman in chinatown that has some underground aquarium of these fishes.

they're huge and they look like dragons. chinese superstition says they bring good luck etc... but that's not the real reason i want it. i just think it looks damn cool and would look nice in an aquarium. hehhe

billy, all u have to do is show this pic to an asian fish store and they'll find it for u at a low cost. Or u can also purchase those smaller ones (babies) and they grow supppper fast. Plus if u buy it from a fish store, they give u free lil fishies to feed it. Check the 626 area: alhambra, san gabriel, monterey park...

i dunno, if caught, the feds might get involved. its so silly that they're not allowed in the US. o well. i swear its like im freakin askin for illegal drugs. its just a fish... hehe
