I had some ideas last night right before bed, so I repeated them as many times as I could so I would remember them this morning, which I did. At first the format made your excerpt hard to read, but the moment I got the hang of it, I could instantly see the frames. What made you decide to write this as a graphic novel? I don't know anything about the submission process of graphic novels, so good luck.

That was nice of your wife to "let" you writer. :D Good call on the flowers.

I also thought the bit to your niece and nephews was hilarious.

Well, "let" me write in the sense that I had agreed to spend the morning together with her and then bailed and went out writing. She could have been much less approving of that decision. Still, flowers help. ;)

As for why I picked the format, in its original inception, there was some imagery that would not have been as good in standard prose. While that story has greatly evolved, there's still some great clips. Ken, the main character, is also called Dragon. A prostitute he meets, Patrice, is called Cockatrice. As the two of them leave an alley, these two mythic creatures are behind them. Sure I could describe it, but it's so much more awesome in pictures.
