I want to create an open forum, right now, for all you single people out there to tell me and everyone else why you HATE valentines day, and what could be done to better the situation. then again, I may be one of the only single ones left.

I would like to note how many un-single people just posted in what was supposed to be a forum devoted to single people venting their frustrations about why Valentine's day is a cheap, emotionally exclusionary and sadistic holiday. Oh how life has its sweet ironies ( ... )

i hate valentines day because
A:its just another excuse for couples to be all lovey-dovey in public and be all annoying and shit
B:its another way of telling me that im single and i cant share the love with that special someone (that is, if i had a special someone)so im stuck being all emo...just another day for me! lol

what could be done to better the situation? i quote freddy mercury, "find me someone to love"

have a happy valentines day :)

good lyrics to live by anonymous February 19 2004, 19:22:24 UTC
"Let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together
I've got some real estate here in my bag"
So we bought a pack of cigarettes and Mrs. Wagner pies
And walked off to look for America

"Kathy," I said as we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh
"Michigan seems like a dream to me now"
It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw
I've come to look for America

Laughing on the bus
Playing games with the faces
She said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy
I said "Be careful, his bowtie is really a camera"

"Toss me a cigarette, I think there's one in my raincoat"
"We smoked the last one an hour ago"
So I looked at the scenery, she read her magazine
And the moon rose over an open field

"Kathy, I'm lost," I said, though I knew she was sleeping
"I'm empty and aching and I don't know why"
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike
They've all come to look for America
All come to look for America
All come to look for America
