The weather at my house is reasonable, but it's insane at my parent's house. They live about 45 miles away from us. We drove out there yesterday at it was 115 degrees outside. Seriously. It's actually rather cool here today -- though I haven't been out since earlier. I can remember summers being a lot hotter than this one, though, we haven't broken 100* very often this year.

Of course now that I've said this, we'll get a heat wave. The pool we go to is closed until they can clean up the vandalism that was done there on Friday night, so I really hope it stays cool or at least bearable this week.

Yesterday, was by far, the hottest day of the year. It was awful! I'm not sure the exact temp but my moms car temp was reading at 112 in the shade!

In the newspaper today, it said the San Fernando Valley got up to 118 and the San Diego Wild Animal Park was 114.

Before i read the paper, I was wondering whether people in other parts of the country were experiencing this. The LA Times said its just the west because theres a hot front over the ocean and we're also getting heat from the east, when we normally get winds from the west.

wow! The wild animal park always seems hot since it's in escondido, but 114, that is awful. I hope this heat wave passes soon, some rain would be mighty nice right now. Our bedrooms aren't air conditioned, so I've been sleeping in the living room with the air on because the rooms are so hot.

It's bloody hot here.
But, we usually have temperatures up to 100 degrees in the summer -- just not for the extended period we have been without rain.

It is very very hot here and we broke a record yesterday as well. It is 94 inside our house!

Last week was ridiculously hot here (100-102, getting up to 105 one day according to the time and temperature voice recording), but it's cooled off over the weekend, and now we're back to 90's.
