summer in northern ontario is bear-able

Two days ago, in the early afternoon, I was sitting in the dining room with my laptop, when I noticed a black bear loping across our front lawn, followed by two cubs. OMG that's something else.

By the way that screen type structure might hide the bin from passersby, but the bears will find it! :-D

Definitely a northern Ontario experience. Right up there with daring somebody to lick the flagpole when it's -30 Celsius.

Bears have a good sense of scent, so it's hard to fool them. :)
