2008 was a flat-out amazing year. When I was a little girl, two of my dreams in life were to become an author and a runner. Thus, I managed to fulfill two childhood dreams this year. It's really, really inspiring to read about how you surpassed your goals. Plus you're local, which is cool. I feel so motivated! Now if only I could run... Good luck with your marathon and enjoy the weather down there.

Haha, I know what you mean, referring to the layers upon layers of clothes. Living in Iowa, we had some days in November/December that were 40 degrees and other days it was -20 with windchill, about -4 without. Ice, snow, freezing, melting... you name it. Don't you looooove the midwest?

At least we have Florida to look forward to... :)

Congratulations! I'm still on the early part of my running journey and this was a wonderfully inspiring and honest post. I'm ecited for you to run the Disney Marathon! Can't wait to read about it!
