Have just re-read SF's blog on LJ's behaviour at present and one of the replies. Please could you enlighten falcadore that there is only one complete set of parents - but irrespective of that, I will add my maternal advice

In my opinion, with the questions she is asking about Jeff at present she is trying to sort out the order of her world and who means what to whom. This is way in advance of when some kids do it - but hey we know she's an intelligent little monkey!!

I agree wholeheartedly. This is the point, as you've said, where she's trying to work out how the world works and who connects with whom. Makes good sense.
