The days have started to seem long to Gwen. Whether it's anxiety or the return to Compound living she can't be certain, but time seems to be marching with increasing slowness, endeavoring to remind her of exactly everything she's lacking

The Doctor is walking Atalanta, who smells Gwen before the Doctor can even see her, and basically yanks the lead out of his hand so that he has to chase, nearly sprawling face first on the sand before he gets his footing back.

Seeing Gwen is a bit odd, actually. He's been meaning to try to find her, but hasn't been sure what he'd say. Clearly, the decision's been made for him.

The dog is a bit of a surprise, snapping Gwen quickly from her reverie, but she's immediately accepting happy doggy kisses and making encouraging noises, because really, she doesn't only miss the people in that house. "Oh hello, pretty girl, yes I KNOW, it's all so very exciting!" She'll smell like dog now, but she doesn't mind.

She knows that he's there, that where Atalanta goes he typically follows, but she makes a point of not looking up straight away, although she's not sure why. "Hello," she finally greets, quieter than she'd done for the dog, canting her head just enough that she can see him.

"Hey," the Doctor says, quietly as well. He's glad she doesn't push off Atalanta, that she greets him as well. But he doesn't know where to go from here, necessarily. He settles down near her, but not too close.

"You don't have to sit all the way over there," Gwen says without looking his way. "No, he doesn't," she addresses Atalanta, who is watching her with intense interest. "I'm not going to beat him up, no I'm not." That earns her another kiss.
