Sep 11, 2011 14:28

Yesterday I was on duty or at a party all day, so there was no posting. It's still only day 2 for a lot of the world, though, so I don't feel too bad. :P Today I am also on most of the day, and I feel kind of like crap, so there will not be much today.

So for Day 2 & 3, you guys are getting tiny fics. This also comes with a tentative promise to ( Read more... )

There are too many lions in Europe, outside churches and in parks, and they don't really talk about it but head south next. Somewhere in the sun of Italy Susan buys a Saint Jude coin. "Wouldn't you rather a Saint Valentine icon?" the woman at the stall says with a knowing look, but Susan clutches the coin tighter and shakes her head, Edmund's hand warm on her waist.

She just makes the swerve - she can feel the rush of air where she almost collided with the other chaser. "Ginny!" someone yells, and she judges the corner out of the corner of her eye, the chaser turning and coming after her.

It's a clean pass and she grabs it out of the air and rolls, the chaser sailing harmlessly through clean air above her as Ginny takes off down the field.

dismissing the sinking feeling in her gut at how small he is

asdkflj;ljksdf Oh, Artemis! Feeling protective of Dick, even though he can take care of himself.

And, um, prompt:

M'gann and Artemis, going shopping on Earth.

"You realize I don't actually need clothes, right?" M'gann says, and Artemis grins.

"Yeah, but I do, and shopping is an integral part of being an Earth Girl, and you need exposure to all the fashions of Earth." M'gann grins, her skirt subtly shifting to imitate the one she's looking at.

SO DO I, BETSY, SO DO IIIII. GOD I CAN'T WAIT. TV SHOWS, COME BACK TO MEEEE. I NEED ALL MY FABULOUSNESS TO BE BACK ON MY COMPUTER/TV. a;sdjklj;ds

And, awww! I love them as friends. :) I mean, I love everyone on the team being friends with everyone, but I it's nice to have two girls on the team. XD

Is it bad that I really want them to have a conversation about Wally's shameless flirting? I realize it's not a very Bechdel Test-y conversation to be having, BUT I WANT THEM TO HAVE IT.

These are fantastic! :))) Also, for a little while now you've been making me want to check out the DC comics because 1) superheroes and 2) fantastic ladies, apparently. But of course I really have no idea how I'd start with it all. Help?

And, if you're up to it:

Amy wants some pudding.

Any specific questions? Any superheroines you're especially interested in learning/reading about?

"Why is there a thing of pineapple juice, three weird fruit thingies from that last planet, and assorted selections of cheese fungus in the refrigerator, but no pudding even though I just made some a few hours ago?" Amy says, and the Doctor shoots a look over to where Rory is sitting.

"Sorry," he says.

Amy doesn't look all that impressed.

Um... not really any specific questions. That is -uh. I don't really even know. But I've always been in love with the idea of superheroes and I've wanted to read comics for a while but it's a little intimidating when you don't know where to start, right? And - uh - yeah. No idea lolol.

And YES RORY ATE THE PUDDING (It's ok, Rory, I probably would have done the same!)

Oh Lucy, making jokes and being all good humored even when she's ill. I wonder what culinary disasters led to that low opinion of Susan's cooking abilities.

As for prompts: Susan and Edmund, cynics.

I don't really know! but I've never thought of Susan as a good cook. She can be! she's just super conscientious about it and follows everything exactly and gets frustrated when it still doesn't turn out right and she has monumentally bad luck in the kitchen.

"Ten to one it rains tomorrow," Edmund says from the window.

"I think so, yes," Susan says, and Lucy scowls at them both from behind her book.

"Why must you two be so depressingly cynical?" she demands, and Edmund just shrugs.

Hmm, I can see that about her cooking. And no doubt Lucy would be the type of cook who never looks at a recipe and never measures anything out and still ends up with wonderful results.

Such a telling bit of conversation! They're just realistic, Lucy. I also loved the one about Susan and Edmund traveling, very much, because Susan would think she needed St. Jude. OH SUSAN.
