u don't have to pay 800 bucks to get ur stuff back, don't format it and buy "lost and found" or use norton's hard drive restorer/w/e its called. I dunno what ur paying 800 fr, but o well

yea, i thought of that and tried it, but it's a hardware error, like, the board that reads the stuff fried. currently i'm looking for the same drive to switch boards, but thanks for the info
