Friends...how many of us have them? - Whodini

Jun 15, 2004 15:14

I saw this from atwood among others, and thought if ever there was a meme-like thing worth doing, it was this. It is, afterall related to the fundamental enjoyment of my livejournaling experience over the past year.

So here it is…a reflection on the LJ-ers I have come to call friends...alternately titled,

Ajax - I need to interact with him more. I have the sneaking suspicion his life is really unique.

Alex Jon - Wish he were more consistently happy. He’s got a deep personality. What’s more, I think he’s a real cutie with cool fantasies.

Alienja - Young girl with interesting posts, don’t see much of her anymore.

Aliveingotham - really enjoy his posts and his perspective on just about everything…I feel that if I had been raised with my biological father in New York, I might feel an even stronger connection to his online persona.

Allamerchad - stud whose dating life never ceases to intrigue me.

Amboy00 - cute, uncomplicated, refreshing values and perspective, endearing personality. I think dedagda is a very fortunate man. And of course, vice-versa.

Anxietycafe - what can I say but that Tyler is very deeply entrenched in my heart, and that will not likely ever change.

Ashen idol - still waters run deep. Beautiful inside and out, I hope fervently for his happiness and fulfillment…he deserves more of it than he seems to have experienced in his life.

Atljeepboy - Just recently added him. Posts are good so far and I look forward to more. But honestly, his pectoral icon is just too mouthwatering not to be appearing on my friends list every day.

Atwood - I will return his sentiment and say that in many ways he is my alter ego on the East Coast. What would happen if the two happy hookers ever collided in one geographic location…it would definitely make for a hot read, that’s for sure!!

Audiodubliner - his day in day out life is very interesting. I find myself wondering if people would find my basic day to day life as intriguing.

Beachbro4 - haven’t heard from him in forever. But I always liked his hard edgy style.

Bender772 - one half of my favorite dynamic duo. Brian is so sweet it hurts to think about sometimes. It hurts even more that they are now in the Vaterland.

Boywondermark - great drawings/icons, interesting topics on which he posts. One of those guys I wonder about getting freaky with but can’t figure out exactly what it is about him that makes me think along those lines.

Branman1975 - possibly my earliest LJ friend. I know EXACTLY what makes me want to get freaky with him. So sexy, so genteel, such a vibrant and unassuming personality that shines out in all his posts.

Cantos - a new friend who is beautiful on the inside as much as on the outside from what I am seeing so far. I fell in love with his journal after only a few minutes. Very happy with this LJ find.

Chalkeater - there are guys you fantasize about because they are just so damn sexy in their persona. Then there are guys you fantasize about because you care so much about them and are touched by them so meaningfully that you long to express that in the most intimate terms. And then there are people like Mike who you fantasize about for both reasons. Most of all, though, I fantasize about his happiness. Say the Love word, Mike, just say it to him!

Christopherz - I added him because he is hot in his icon and because he describes sex with his boyfriend in the way it should be experienced…like it is with the hottest boy in the world and is the very first time they’ve ever touched. I connect with that very strongly.

Codeboy1978 - just getting familiar with his journal. But it is refreshing and simultaneously childlike and very mature at the same time. I like it.

Collegeboyfl - this Florida boy is still all New York from what I can tell. I really love reading his journal in much the same way as I expressed about Aliveingotham.

Corndog071 - what can I say, he usually has at least one line in his entries that makes me laugh, and he can make the most mundane daily activities seem very interesting. He would make a fun friend to just hang with, I think.

Curiousgeorgecu - great witty life observations. I loved the “crapping” preamble to the elevator observation. Our own little David Sedaris in the making here at LJ.

Dailyafirmation - I enjoy reading about his life because it has such an air of familiarity to me. It’s like catching up with a local friend on what’s been going on.

Davidology - You know someone has incredible substance when he is drop-dead hot and I don’t even find myself musing on that at all but instead just get absorbed in the quality of his posts. Maybe having that experience is par for the course for the rest of you decent-minded folks, but for Sin & Debauchery, Inc…that is saying a lot.

Decasia - Hilariously bizarre entries intermittently broken up by some real insightful reflection. Hard to describe this muscleworshipper’s unique take…you just have to check it out.

Devnair1 - added just recently, but one post in particular about people not being connected to their own basic motivations so resonated with my own observations that I knew I had to have his journal a part of my everyday reading. Plus he’s from Texas and is hot…always a plus.

Dirtygeniedude - this cat has been MIA for about 9 months. No goodbye, no nothing. I suppose I should remove him, but I keep holding out hope he’s gonna post soon. Hopefully before Scott and I hit his hometown in New Zealand this August.

Dubiousone - If all the world’s a stage and the people merely players. Then our fuckbuddies should all have cool descriptive stage names. Dubiousone understands this and just shares his life in a way that seems like the next act in Rent.

Endogenousardor - The first LJ-er to ever cause me to pull out a dictionary! Hasn’t posted in forever, but I really wish he’d come back. VERY interesting guy.

Fivebyfive - a very new addition. I added him for three reasons: local, intelligent and a pretty impressive film critic (even if I don’t always agree with his take on films). Not really a fourth reason, but I should tell you that he is pretty easy on the eyes.

Okay, that’s the first 30 on my friends list. Expect the rest to come in three more installments of 30 (approximately) over the course of the next day or so.
