So, I had another ultrasound on Friday and the doctor decided to put me on bed rest...until delivery...I'm due October 24. What the hell!?!

She said Katy is measuring smaller than what other babies her age measure at. They said she is in the 6th percentile when they want her to be a 10 or above. I looked into it online and it pretty much just ( Read more... )

Good Luck on the work front. Obviously Baby Katy wants her mom to rest, and she'll get her way. Hence this whole...smaller than average plot she has going. (Is that a little Slytherin I see?)

haha. Amber on the 'roids. I just keep thinking of the SNL skits about the 'roids. haha. With the talk show and they all had TEENY lower bodies and giant heads. They were mostly like...puppet and their little legs would flail around when they got the ROID RAGE.

Thanks! I just signed up for disability through work on July 1! Great timing, huh? They just need a detailed note from the doctor saying the bed rest is for complications of pregnancy. I don't think I'll have a problem getting that this week.

Yeah, Katy does what she damn well pleases, I've noticed. She likes to move around and kick at night, especially if I'm sleeping on my side, which is the only position recommended! She'll kick at the mattress and make me change sides. I see in my future a power struggle between mother and daughter.

I've never seen those skits!! Who was in them? I have to go look them up seeing as I have some time on my hands.

ummmm I think that Adam Sandler was on then...and Jay Mohr (I think that's the spelling of his name) and Chris Farley. Probably David Spade too. I think that there were at least two eps of it.

Yeah....my friend Shannon said her daughter, Sam, did that a lot. XD Shannon and her husband have brown hair...little girl? Red as red could be. XD She was born Jan of this year.

Hey Amber, I'm sorry to hear but glad you're in good spirits. I hope you had a good birthday! I'll look at my calendar and see if I can plan a visit in the very near future. What are you doing on August 7? Can I bring you anything?

Thanks Amanda! Yeah, my birthday turned out to be my last day of fun! Not sure what I'm doing now for the future. I'm waiting until Friday to see if things have improved and what they recommend. I'll let everyone know.

My aunt's in San Diego for the week, but I'll check with her on jobs when she gets back.

Bed rest for 3 months?! Ack. At least you can show off your clean house:) Moms always know how to clean it to be 'just right'. I'm sure you can get time off from work to be a legit excuse... Since lying in bed is dull, can you "work" around the house? Maybe build a garden, bird house/feeder, or some little projects like that? What about working from home? I hope you feel better:)

Yeah, it only stays clean as long as Wayne's at work. Oh well.

I'm supposed to stay in bed or on the couch and can only get up to shower/use the bathroom/get something to eat. So, house projects are out of the question. I actually think it was all the prior house projects on top of work that put me in this current predicament!

Sorry to hear about the bed rest...I hope everything goes well. Let me know if you need anything, my sister lives in Hampton so if I'm down there I can stop in and bring you anything. Do you do sudoku? My sister does them in like 5 minutes a puzzle but it takes me at least day to do an easy one, but it keeps me occupied when I'm bored:)

Aww, Amber! I'm just catching up on LJ since I've only gotten internet at my new place today.

Enjoy the bed rest, but I know it will be hard. Maybe you can take up knitting or something? I'm a fan of crossword puzzles, myself. There's lots online...

That, or just waste all that disability money via online gambling! Katy doesn't need to go to college, right?! :-p
