here's a solo photo of francis - who is so hard to take good pictures of. she's really very cute, and not terrifying. but i'm sure you understand. i think she and sprite could be related. my mom has her two brothers, and they look pretty much like her, too. i love cat pictures (we have a ridiculously large computer folder devoted to them). it's so hard to get them all in one shot. when my mom told me she wanted a picture of me and shar and the cats all at once, i laughed. oh my god i just reread what i typed out, and it sounds BIZARRE. like i'm in the throes of cat hysteria. and i am. so i'll leave it.

i'm all for being cat crazy. i've met many cats that look like sprite and francis, it makes me wonder what type of cat they are. a few years ago i lived with 4 kitties and even tho they all battled there was something comforting to have 4 kitties to come home to. i think that black cats are really hard to photograph, i know that sprite totally is and her eyes don't really like flash too much either.

yeah, the cats all battle but it's mostly friendly and doesn't last long. i think i've told the story of how francis used to be a total meanie when she was an only child. about a year ago, we used to live in a house with a long hallway, and in the middle of the night, we'd hear all these massive cat stampedes up and down the hall. it was amazing. i do love opening the door, and finding them in a semi-circle, waiting.
i love cats that look like sprite and francis. my mom's one cat (francis' brother from another litter), looks like francis, but with this much longer protrusion of fur around his face, like a lion's mane.

i want a cat sooooo bad! this is my old kitty clara. we had to give her away when we moved to vancouver because we couldn't find a place that allowed pets. that was like 5 years ago and i still miss her like crazy. cats make me so happy - somehow i have to convince my landlady that cats are NOT the spawn of satan.
