I am a heavy consumer of nonfiction. As such, it ought to be no surprise that Stuff White People Like is tops on my list of "required" recreational reading. Well, tops enough that I might check it once a month, which is saying something, when you consider what little time I allow myself for recreational reading. I can't decide if the posts or the people who take them seriously are more hysterical.

Unrelated: I bet you actually know who most of these people are. Any recommendations you'd like to offer on who I should choose would be most greatly appreciated. Right now I know I want Sylvie Fortin. I kinda want Brooks Jenson, but mainly because Lenswork is my favorite photo magazine. You're familiar with both my work and the art world... who should I pick?

Holy crap, how many do you get to pick to review?!? Oh, wait... four... let me think about this for an afternoon & get back to you.

I agree, Sylvie should see your work. Mostly because I heart Sylvie, heh.

That was awesome, thank you so much. I had sent an email to Conne Thalken and Nancy Floyd asking them for recs, and while I haven't heard anything from Nancy your picks match closely with Conne's. She said Natasha Egan, Catherine Evans, Carol McCusker, Madeline Yale, and recommended against Sylvie because "you will have future opportunities to get Sylvie to look at your work here in Atlanta."

Hmmm. Hmm! [Can you tell I'm starting to freak out about this? ;)]
