Beaded lanyard with only beads and cord

Hi everybody!
I want to make this beaded lanyard, but i dont't know how to begin and end the knots. The lanyard is so strong due to the way the maker tied the knots. I notice she used double strands to knot the cord. Does anybody know how to make it? Many thanks!

First I have to say, tutorials in this journal are unbeatable! Simply the best. I use them a lot and people are loving jewellery I make thanks to you :) Few days ago I came across this pendant and I just cant wait to make some by myself.
