Timing Etsy Posts...

I've developed a sort of rhythm when posting new items in my Beadoodles Shop.  It doesn't apply really to the Beadeux shop - I've noticed things sell pretty well there without having to stress about timing, exposure, etc. and admittedly I don't work as hard at promoting it as I do at Beadoodles.

I applaude you for getting so much etsy business, I can not figure it out.

and as for a treasury, I have never ever ever been able to create on in the 2 yrs I've been on Etsy....I don't now how people do it!! LOL

I've been very fortunate this last year, especially on Etsy. I don't know if my wierd little listing rituals help at all - perhaps by now we've hit the superstition stage ;)

If you want to snag a treasury, it does take some patience. The way to know when new treasuries will open up is the number of lists - if it's near 333, I look down lists and their time left and estimate when enough will expire so that there are 332 treasuries. Most people just leave the treasury window open and check it periodically - when you can make a treasury, a little box opens at the bottom of the screen to type your title in. As long as you have *something* in the box, you'll get a treasury (unless it crashes! which it has done many times before :) )

I wish I had your patience. I tend to want to list a bunch of stuff, all at once. Perhaps since I'm off today I'll try your all day long method. I never really get into the other Etsy stuff, like treasuries or the forums. I should probably try those more.

I tend not to mess around with actually looking at the treasuries unless I'm in them (thank goodness for the gold stars). It's just the only place you can actually get some sense of the traffic on Etsy. Every once in awhile when the stars align and I have a half hour to an hour to kill, I'll compile a treasury...but it's once in a blue moon :)
