Hey, I've got a question... wanted to join the anne rice community you have... but said it was closed. I wanted to ask a simple, (or not simple? ) question. I have read all of the Vampire Chronicles up through the Vampire Armand, and I see that next on my list is "Merrick." Do I need to read the witch chronicles in order to understand this book?? Someone/something I though once upon a time told me that this book combines the two series??? or maybe their wrong?? Help!!! :) Thanks
Hi there. I can get wickedcherub to fix you up for membership if you like - just let me know.
Personally, I wouldn't bother reading the train wreck that was Merrick...but that wasn't what you were asking :) I read it without reading the Witches Chronicles..no wait. I think I got 15 pages in and then threw it away in disgust. But I believe that it would be okay to read it without having read the WC, although it would help with the background info on who the various other people are.
