A Tate & Tennant Media Spam Because Sleep is Overrated

Apr 16, 2009 03:23

I was thinking about doing a review of sorts (complete with a Donna Noble graph of AWESOME, MEH and FAIL) for Planet of the Dead, but I'm still slightly in love with David and Catherine co-hosting the Jonathan Ross show and decided to do a media spam sharing the Dav and Kats awesome instead. (Also, not dial-up friendly and not just because of my rambling.)

There are plenty of actors who I like working together together, (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, Lauren Graham and David Sutcliffe, Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, and David Tennant and Laura Fraser to name a few) but it never really bothered me when their shows ended (with the exception of L&O:CI because it's still running) and they went their separate ways. If they worked together in other things, great! If not, that would be fine as well. Were they friends off set or did they hate each other? If they were friends, do they keep in touch? Didn't matter to me as long as I got great character interaction on screen.

Not so with these two. It actually makes me happy (and then I feel vaguely stalker-ish about it, but if I'm an ocean away and am too lazy to actually go out and stalk them even if we weren't separated by the Atlantic, am I really a stalker?) that they're friends. At least I assume so, because if they hate each other, why in the world would they agree to co-host a three hour radio show in a small booth when they don't even have a project together to promote?

Anyhow, their radio gig together pretty much cemented my desire that they work together again. In anything. I don't care what. Another TV series, a movie, a play (preferably on Broadway, so I could actually go and see it), a charity telethon in which they sing and dance and perform little skits to raise money for a worthy cause, a variety special in which they attempt jobs they clearly know nothing about, a documentary in which they track the work-a-holic habits of the elusive and shy John Barrowman, whatever. I will watch it!

Because the above projects just exist in my head, have a media spam of stuff they actually did together:

Bite me alien boy!

Bonus downtime photo that makes me go, "aww..." because of David:

David & Catherine Filming The Runaway Bride

How's it been?

It's been awful.

Yeah, yeah. From start to finish?

From start to finish. As you know, I’ve often been found in my trailer...

Weeping.

Weeping. Shouting, "where did it all go wrong?"

Hmm, mmm.

True.

Catherine Making Fun Of Interviewing David

I hate to lose more than I like to win so it wouldn't matter to me if everyone said that things were great, one person could just say in the middle of one glowing review, "but, mmm... see her ankles?" or something like that and I genuinely want to hunt them down and kill them.

But that's good!

Is it? Thank god for that. I thought it was an overreaction!

David & Catherine on Jonathan Ross

An episode takes about three weeks, two weeks in, I realize there's someone in it. And it really freaked me out.

And this thing had been walking around acting with you?

Ten of them! Ten of them had been walking around acting with her.

But I thought they ran on electricity!

Being Interviewed by John Barrowman

What was it like filming the series? How did you enjoy it?

It was great until you showed up, John.

And because these photos make me smile:

BBC 1xtra Interview

You're a treasure, I'm an institution, I think you've come out better.

I quite like that because I'm sort of glitzy and worth a lot whereas you're where mental people go.

Now, you ready for your Doctor Who quiz?

We got a quiz?

I know who's going to win this one!

I'm taking you down Tate. I'm taking you down.

David Tennant's here right, Catherine Tate's going to be joining him soon. What's happened? Have you had an argument?

We don't sleep together!

You don't?

Couldn't Find a Photo From the Steve Wright Interview Either, So Here's Another Series 4 Launch Photo

I think what David's saying about it being relative is right, because in 1963 they probably didn't even have yogurt, and we are now spoilt for choice on the dairy dessert front!

Lazarus.

Of course it is! Yeah, that's Mark Gatiss, with things being done to his voice...

From the Bible? Oh...

Yes, it's from the Bible. The audio version!

David Shows the Cast How Cards Are Played

Yes! Yes! That's how you play a game of cards!

However, he's still three behind Catherine:

I'm not... I'm standing here!

Co-Hosting Jonathan Ross' Radio Show

We're so bad at it that the guests are telling us what happens next.

"It was nice to wake up this morning, snuggled in my duvet, listening to your voices MAKE FUN OF ME!" Oh, John! They do it because they love!

The next one is still here simply because the huge photo of his head in the background never fails to make me laugh. Video sadly has been TOS'd. Edit: New link found and added!

Can you not, um, not let David in on it?

And an extra one that I just really liked. I'm not sure why (because I don't watch the show), but every time I see this photo, I think it's a promo photo from Bones:

Media clips were NOT made by me. I've tried to link to an official source where possible. If it's not a screencap, it's from David-Tennant.com, DavidTennantFan.com or JohnBarrowman.com
