The cat is on a hunger strike. I changed his food because I couldn't afford the food my roommate gives her cat, and we had to separate the cat's feeding areas because Hermes is a pig and eats everything in sight and my roommate's cat was actually loosing weight because she could never get to her food

Could you buy a couple cups off your roommate and mix a bit into his new food? He might eat more if you could try that. Mom's right, he won't starve, but we all know it's in everyone's interest to keep the noisy cats happy.
