I do not know what impulse of insanity led me to attempt dragging an 8x10 carpet, soaking wet, up a flight of steep, narrow, treacherously uneven stairs by myself, but it is done and it shall never be attempted again, forever and ever.

Ha! I'm not even moving! Our basement flooded and soaked the carpets we have down there. My roommate/sister is out of town this weekend, the carpet is hers. I thought, "Oh, I'll be a good sister and take her carpet upstairs and out on the deck so it can dry and doesn't get all moldy and stuff."

Well. I must have been on crack, because WHAT WAS I THINKING?

That thing was soaked with floodwater, it had to be a couple hundred pounds of just dead weight, that you can't get any leverage on, because there's nowhere to really grip, it's leaking all over the floor, making it slippery, plus, gross carpet water is dripping ALL OVER ME. Add to that our basement stairway, which is basically a fucking RAVINE that you have to RAPEL DOWN whenever you must venture into the basement, never mind GETTING UP IT WITH A SOAKING WET CYLINDER OF DEAD WEIGHT THAT IS TWICE YOUR HEIGHT OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!!!11!!!!1!!

Do you ever wish these moments in your life could be recorded on film for you to watch later so you could at least get pleasure out of the pain you inflicted on yourself in the form of entertainment value? Or is that just me?
