My Teacher Book Wishlist!!!

So, I am going to be thrust into a classroom my first year with no materials. I want to inspire children and give them a love to reading!! In order to do so, I need some amazing books, not just the ones that come in the text books(basals). Often times, the text books cut up trade books, leaving out artwork and stuffing all of the words onto one

hmmm...i would love to help you out, but seeing as how i'm emerging into law school, i am going to be incredibly broke very soon. so i was thinking "oh, if i have any of these books left over from when i was a kid, i could help out". unfortunately, i can't. the shel silversteins are part of my personal collection, they still travel with me. and i do have "where the wild things are". the only problem is that it's in german...
