work is so frustrating
everyone here seems so dull and morose
smile every so often dammit!

there's nothing wrong with a little self deprecation and looking a bit silly from time to time
the way i see it, if someone gets a decent laugh out of it - where's the harm?

back at work after a week off to go see mum in hospital etc

she had the operation last friday, and when i saw her on saturday afternoon she seemed perfectly fine
no nausea or pain at all, other than a bit when she tried to sit up - but that's understandable seeing as all her stomach muscles got all cut up and stuff
