Seumas, you have your priorities straight which is more important than running a race. Although I will be interested when you do run next year to see how well you do!

We'll see - gotta get better than 84 minutes - that's going to be one hell of a challenge!

..And we'll be cheering for you as you run (though you'll have to tell us when you start so we're not cheering someone else ;)

How long have you been running?

anyway, ace that test and enjoy life :)

*hugs*

I don't actually run usually. In fact, I hate runnning. I don't train when I do the City2Surf - the BodyAttack/BodyCombat/BodyPump is usually enough for me.

The reason I do City2Surf is because back in 2005 when I was fat, I said "I'm going to run City2Surf next year, and made it one of my goals. So I got fit and ran the hilly 14km in 91:18. Surprised myself, even - I would have been happy with two hours.

So 2007 I did it again, and got 84:01. Was very happy about that.

I didn't get to do it last year, and the exams prevent me from doing it this year. But next year, I'll be doing it again. Have to beat 84 minutes next time, which is tough when you're in the "back of the pack" crowd (I don't get preferential status as I didn't run this year, so have to be down the back again.

When I get through this exam, it will be such a relief.

I will do a pumping mix, of 80 minutes.

Therefore, you'll have 120 BPM's to keep you going, AND a time limit to reach the finish line on before the music runs out! :-)

Actually, if you are willing, that's a fantastic idea. And I won't listen to it until I press "play" on the iPod when I start running. So I'll have a timer on my iPod and a countdown to the end of the track as well!

Well,

If you remember closer to the time, next year, I'm happy to do it for you! :-)
