What is going on here? Your Majesty? Balthier? Fran? ... the children are not here either... what is this place?

Can anyone with information as to the whereabouts of this place please respond? I cannot linger here, I must return to my duties elsewhere.

[The morning had been weird. Between that song this morning, and the System Manager's ominous message, things seemed off. But it was better than dream/nightmare thing, so he wasn't complaining.

He was heading off to the kitchen to get a bite for lunch, and the communicator in his pocket vibrated like someone had updated. But if it was anything important (i.e. Fran) they would know to filter something to him, in which case it would be much more persistent.

Considering he was thinking about these things (and what he wanted for lunch, which some days around here seemed like the biggest decision. How terribly mundane they'd become.) he wasn't really thinking about opening the door carefully and avoiding running into anyone.

...Which, of course, in a few seconds he would be kicking himself mentally for.]

[Staring at the device in his hand, Basch blinks at it for a few minutes, as if expecting it to respond back. Nothing. Then he was alone in this large place? Then why the device? Wandering about a little, trying to figure out where he was, this is of course after trying the door to leave... and failing... and trying his sword... and failing... then magicks, and only having his cure spell. So Basch felt it was best to see if he could find anyone.

Looking around he thinks he hears someone, and looking towards it heads to the noise. He's just coming to the door as it opens and-]

[Of course recently Linaly had pointed out that Cloud had come back after a short absence, but Basch had been gone for some time now, and Balthier hadn't believed him ever coming back.

He hadn't wished him ever coming back, not to this.

And there were so many questions: did he remember? Was he farther along in his travels or the same point?

Balthier was about to ask them, when reality caught up with him. They were stuck, under the mistletoe. First Vaan, and now Basch?]

['You're back.' the pirate says. Back? Basch didn't remember this place at all. Was this some joke? This was hardly the time for games or any sort of jest.]

Back? I have never been here before... Balthier what is the meaning of this? Do you know what is going on?

[Vaan is pleasantly surprised when he hears Basch's voice. But rather than take the time to reconnect the voice and video functions, he simple runs through the house to find the captain.]

[Is making his way towards the rooms right now. He hears his name being called cheerfully by a familiar voice and stops, turning to look around for the source.]

[Strange how he'd just been with the boy, before being brought here. He wonders how long Vaan has been here. Along with Balthier and Fran.]

[For a moment Vaan just stares at the older man, a grin on his face. He knows he should be upset that Basch is stuck in the house with them again, but he can't help but be glad to see him. And if Basch was brought back... maybe Penelo would be too.]

[One could always count on Vaan to be smiling. A majority of the time at least. A small smile of his own spread on his lips as Vaan spoke.]

I must admit, it has been at most ten minutes since I last saw you.

I have yet to experience anything to make me think it a hell, but the idea of being brought here against my will is a bit disconcerting.
