Very, very nice! Well done. And I love the doors and the mezzanine floor thingy (don't you just LOVE my nice technical terms?). You should be very proud of yourself, you've done a lovely job.

We're in the middle of renovating atm...although not QUITE so drastic. We did need to rip up about 4 inches of slate floor and are (eventually) going to be putting down a timber floor in its place... it will be staying bare concrete for a while yet, though. I just can't wait 'til the kitchen is finished... out with the nasty pinkish melamine that the previous owners put in, and in with the lovely granite benchtops and New Guinea rosewood cupboard doors. And it will be so good to get the new stove, sink, dishwasher etc in (especially as they have been living in the dining room for months).

it is so much work though isn't it. Hmm pink melamine huh? how can you bare to be parted from it :-P

Good luck with the rest of the work, the wooden floor will be worth it it really transforms a room, nice underfoot too. :)
