Too much stuff to cover in the past few days but after visiting Brussels and Paris, just arrived in London UK. I'm overwhelmed and exhausted with seeing so much culture in such a short time.

iPhoto/flickr mess
So this morning I was uploading photos from yesterday's trip to Koln in Germany. I was using the iPhoto on our hosts Macintosh. It appeared to upload the photos, so I turned off the sync and then went to my flickr site. I found all of my recent photos erased from flickr (including ones I had posted days before). election thoughts
On the collapse of the Liberal Party: I was more saddened and shocked by this than the CPC win. Years ago I had become a liberal party supporter, voted for them regularly, and made monthly donations. I was sure Ignatieff was a better bet than the former leader Dion and was best for the country. Apparently, by a wide margin, the public didn't agree ( Read more... ) -

I've had the worst cold this week that I've had in years; one of those ones with continual fits of sleep disrupting coughing.
Thank heavens for Hycodan Syrup that my doctor prescribed. Not only does it shut down the coughing and give the body a chance to rest, but it has a slightly trippy relaxing effect as well. -

retail therapy
Actually I'm feeling fine so I don't need therapy as such, but we went out and did some shopping anyways, with it being tax return season.
What was bought?
* A new digital camera. We went for a Nikon Coolpix S8100, costing about $300. It was within our price range, seems to have good reviews and takes good shots based on the flickr camera finder app ( Read more... )
