the bike riders, hell even the pedestrians, here in japan are SOOOOO much worse, they think they own the road.
they walk out and ride out in the middle of the road like it is theirs for the taking. and if you hit them (even if its their fault) it is your fault according to japanese law
I actually went "YES!" and pumped the air when I read this... I know, I know...it makes me look like an asshole, but I have problems with cyclists who don't obey the rules of the road, let alone the rules of the sidewalk (where they're not supposed to ride anyway) and make it everyone else's job to watch out for *them*, poor dear treehugging green self-absorbed idiots that they are... :o(
*GOOD* cyclists -- like good drivers of all vehicles -- understand it's a MUTUAL agreement, this whole "rules of the road" and "respecting other drivers" thing...
Was there gunplay? Did the cyclist try and ride away at the speed of...umm...however fast "false superiority" goes, I guess...? ;o)
no gunplay that I know of other than the officer putting the jerk in his spandex shorts place. Plus the cop was uber hot too, bald head, tanned and the uniform hugging his butt like no ones business
Yay! As a bicyclist myself I hate the assholes who ride like that. And in Seattle? Oh Holy Jeebus!! Ms. Tour-de-France and Mr. Bike Messenger are EVERYWHERE. One of the weekly papers ran an article lamenting how the Internet and digital age are killing off the bike messenger. The next day I watched a bike messenger (no helmet of course, cuz those are for pussies) bomb down a one way street the wrong way, cut across 2 lanes while blowing the stop sign and turning left. Medic 1 was just pulling out of the station and taking a right on to the street in front of him. Just down the street they stopped for a red light and he rode past them on the right and yelled at then and spit on their ambulance. Because he felt they had cut HIM off. How rude of them to not be looking for the guy blowing the stop sign diagonally against traffic on the one way street. I hope he remembers that when he's lying on the ground with a crushed femur/lung/skull after cutting off someone who really isn't looking.
exactly, cause the big bad car should always yield to the 20 lb lightweight bike wiht the lightweight brains of a operator. I dont have problems wiht most of them but just a few spoil it for the good ones.

You make it sound as if that would be a bad thing!
