So today I went to Smart & Final after work and bought 5 gallons of Karo syrup, plus one each large bottle of red and blue food coloring. These ingredients, together with cocoa powder, produce the most amazingly realistic blood for the purpose of making a horror movie. We have two bottles in the cabinet from the last time it was on sale. I think it was a reaction, a habit from the film school days, since we don't cook with the stuff .... Hmm.
