So, yesterday's post was interesting. Some of the reactions and comments made me think a lot about the way my attitudes towards my body have changed over the years. Back in 1989, I really wished that I lived in someone else's skin. Someone beefier and stronger... someone who LOOKED different. Someone...else ( Read more... )

One of the main principles of the Bear movement that is the most important to me is the insistence that the natural body is already sexy. It doesn't need modification. This then includes all body types.

Woof!

I completely understand where you're coming from in this post. The question of where I fit in (am I a 'bear' 'cub' 'otter' 'cow' etc.) and even if I fit in has been a great struggle for me - one that has lead me to the realization that I don't need a label, but to just be comfortable with me. My 'wish' has previously been the other direction - of LESS size - but brunorepublic hit it right-on... If I feel good-looking, others will intuitively pick up on that and be more apt to feel the same.

And speaking as one of those white/blond/blue... you are an incredibly attractive man. Among many are: Physical (rowr!); Passion (I'm so jazzed for your opportunities to pursue your passion of food - you have created them!); Intelligence (your postings have touched upon profound things, my friend); And whatever catagory(s) the simply blissful snuggle home from Temecula fits into !

Keep being you - you are amazing.

Baby, whether or not you believe it, you're perfect the way you are now! Don't change unless you want to.

I'm a firm believer that you can't tell what a man finds attractive by what he himself looks like. It's completely ineffable.

In the end, I think it is nice that you are handsome, but that's not what makes you attractive. You've got the whole package. A generous spirit, intelligence, and integrity are not something you're gonna get at Gold's Gym.
