The problem's that she IS the girl of his dreams and he has no idea what to do with that. First of all, he's not sure if she really wants him, or if she's just toying with him. If she does want him he KNOWS he'll screw it up somehow. Basil isn't exactly boyfriend material. So yeah, he doesn't think he's good enough for her at all and at the same time, he doesn't want to lose her forever, or get left behind when she chooses someone better over him. He cares about her way too much and the thought making her hate him is terrifying ( ... )
