Goals for class

My response to the reading is one of surprise. I have read the “Survival Kit” before and it was interesting to see how differently I interpreted the book now, post travel, as opposed to when I read it in 2005. I feel like I am the ignorant one reading "Survival Kit" this time around. Inasmuch as I know that I really will need to know what I'm reading about, it's been hard to make it stick. I'm looking forward to seeing how I view it on my return home.

Interesting! So you read the book earlier? What kind of things did you interpret differently? Did you reflect on experiences from study abroad that were related to the reading? Explain a little more about your "ignorance" then as compared to now.

Well it isn't so much different as before it was a theory and now it is a part of my experience. I suppose that is what I mean by ignorance.
