Almost There... (Choir)

Today is the first dress-rehearsal of our show. I've been finding that my weight loss program, and the anemia that's come along with it has affected my ability to actually perform like this. You need to talk to your doctor, this is not healthy. Losing weight should never make you feel weak.

I didn't say I was weak, but I guess a lack of energy is the same thing. I should have been more clear that I am not weak at other times. I am really speaking in terms of this sudden increased activity at a lower caloric level which my body will adjust to by the time it does, the show will be done. I haven't been this active for quite some time. I get adequate breaks when I'm at the gym, for example, but at choir practice on stage, I'm standing, moving and singing for a few hours at a time. Saturday's practice was five hours long. This song is very intense in terms of movement, so the shakes dry out my throat making singing a bit of a challenge, plus I'm projecting over 44 other singers (we don't have mikes available), breathing hard and moving fast after having gone through a few hours of practice before I get to my own song. Based on my blood work for my family doctor, all seems okay, but she hadn't asked for the iron check. I'll get those results next week at clinic.
